FIRM:
Stephen Cheung Architect (SCA) is an architectural firm located in Vancouver BC. Our firm was incepted in 2000. Previous to that, we were in a partnership firm, ie, our predecessor firm SC+DCYT Architecture. Throughout these years, we have been involved in a variety of project types such as single family house, custom homes, multi-family and mixed use development, commercial, mall alteration, retail interior, office, hotel, media and culture, religious, industrial, etc. In addition, we also provide graphic design, millwork fabrication, interior furnishing design, in some cases.
Our involvement as a design/build and construction manager in some projects, had helped us to understand first hand the whole construction process that, undoubtedly, is crucial for a successful project.
As a profession that helps to create and being responsible for a safe and healthy environment for our community and society, we have always been very attended to issues of buiding envelop integrity and sustainability, and that is one of our objectives since our inception. Though not all projects can be carried out as fully sustainable or “green” as one might wish, base on a lot of circumstances, but we endeavour to assist our client to comprehend their options in all cases.
