rosedale2ROSEDALE studio

toronto, ontario
1991 completion

The studio has a 15′ wide x 14′ length ‘L’ shape configuration. The space is flooded with natural lights from the windows on two walls during the day.  All the walls and ceiling were painted white color to provide truer color rendition. The workstation top was made out of “off the shelf” hardboard door and the cabinets and shelves were made out of  unpainted MDF board and mill finish steel angles that lends an industrial and unfinished quality, which contrast with the domestic character of the setting. A pivotal “nose” of the bookshelf adds to the temporal quality of the space.
