STROHN residence
exterior alteration toronto, ontario 1987This project was to add a balcony off from the two upper bedrooms over the front porch. Our proposal is to extend the gable roof out and form an enclosure around the new balcony that also extends beyond and overhangs the existing roof. A steel pipe support extends from the pedestal below and terminates as a balustrade for the new colorfully painted metal railings. The addition of different sizes of square windows on both sides helps to implement an asymmetrical balance composition, within the existing Tudor style façade.
